Interested in COPE?
COPE (Communities Organizing for Power Through Empathy) is a is a 3-part workshop focused on community mental health through recognizing stress and developing individual and collective strategies for healthy coping. This project is in partnership with Dr. Scott at the LSU School of Social Work in Baton Rouge. The COPE workshops are hosted by individual NLI institutions and open to adults 18 years old or older. They focus on supporting YOU and your wellbeing so you can better provide support to others and is an integral part of the Community Lighthouse structure and a way for institutions to partner with lighthouses to care for their community.
Participants learn more about:
• stress
• healthy coping
• supporting others in distress
• working together to develop strategies to increase support in their institution
